This year is dedicated to
European-level competences. In this regard, digital training becomes
central for preparing citizens in the context of global technological
transition. The European Union has set ambitious targets that
require sustained and
concerted efforts to achieve digital competence goals. In addition to
this effort, Europe aims to develop its strategic autonomy in the field
by creating a stable and innovative European ecosystem.
Romania cannot afford to miss the
opportunity to participate in and influence these new priorities. That
is why, last year, we initiated an annual event at the European
Parliament, in the heart of the European capital, Brussels, and the
European institutions, bringing together relevant stakeholders and
decision-makers from Romania and the European Union interested in
innovation, the digital domain, and new technologies.
At the event called 'Romanian
Digital Day' at the European Parliament, organized by Member of the
European Parliament Victor Negrescu with the support of the S&D
Group, we address topics such as the future of innovation,
edu-tech, creating the digital ecosystem in Europe, technology startups,
digital policies, as well as investment opportunities in the field. The
debate will involve representatives from the European Commission, the
European Parliament, and Romanian officials, experts from the digital
and technology sectors, innovators, and creators in the digital and new
technology domains.
